The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has changed access to health coverage for millions of women across the nation, including a provision requiring most private health insurance plans to provide coverage for prescription contraceptives and services. On Thursday, April 16 at 9:30 a.m. ET, the Kaiser Family Foundation hosted a briefing to release a new report that examines how the ACA’s contraceptive coverage provision is being interpreted by health insurance carriers and to discuss the implications for women, providers, and plans.

The key findings from the study were presented by Laurie Sobel, J.D., Kaiser Family Foundation Senior Policy Analyst, which was followed by a panel discussion on the challenges faced by different stakeholders. The panel discussion was moderated by Alina Salganicoff, Ph.D., Kaiser Family Foundation Vice President and Director of Women’s Health Policy.
